Magnificat is woven from folk-like melodies, bringing with them a dance-like lightness. Playful organ toccatas combine with lyrical melodies to create a work of gentle beauty.
Nunc Dimittis begins with a monastic melody in the tenors and basses, with the sopranos and altos energising the music as it builds to a glorious climax.
