Harrogate Choral Society welcomes you to sing in a Yorkshire Choral Workshop with composer Matthew Coleridge
Matthew Coleridge has been hailed as a 'great force for good in the choral world', and here is a chance to delve into some of his most-loved choral works, guided by the composr himself, in a choral workshop hosted by Harrogate Choral Society.
From the timeless beauty of Requiem ("a modern choral classic" - Classic FM) to selections from his radiant cantata The Breath of Life and new a cappella pieces, Matthew will guide us through a selection of his favourite pieces, digger deeper into the inspirations and influences behind his unique sound world.
This singing day is open to singers of all abilities. Music-reading skills are an advantage but not essential. All music will be provided on the day, with an option to purchase afterwards. Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult chaperone.

You are real joy as a conductor - so clear and communicative with no ambiguity ever, and you make it fun! It is a very rare talent.

An emotionally-charged and in places wholly overwhelming experience

An experience unlike any other - The Breath of Life is somthing else! The singer to my left and I both looked at each other with tears in our eyes on that final note. Gooesbumps.
